Refugee Disguise Gown

Padmé wears this outfit when her and Anakin travel as refugees to Naboo and then when she speaks to the Queen.

Design:
"Padmé's two-part Interior Freighter Disguise costume consists of a burgundy silk cloqué coat and a metal headdress for the exterior scenes, worn over a dress of mustard grosgrain fabric, which was embroidered in a burgundy and soft green allover Paisley type pattern with larger central The embroidery on the yoke and cuff's was specially formatted to suite the finalized fitted shapes. The dress, with sleevs of silk cloque, was worn with a Maltese lace headdress over a jersey-draped cowl. The two-colored 30 cm repeat satin stitch embroidery has a large center front motif showing under the silk cloqué of the coat. The headdress has a close-fitting skullcap with 140 upright spines attached, which were interwoven with Styrene strips each shape of the pattern having its own particular weave to create the variations seen. When finished, it was copper-plated and aged."
